KERN OCM 166
The OCM 166 is an inverted fluorescence microscope with a stable build and a large working distance. This makes it suitable for monitoring and analysing cell cultures.
It uses a strong 30 W halogen lamp for bright field illumination. For fluorescence work, it has an Osram 100 W HBO epi fluorescence unit, which provides powerful and clear light for fluorescence samples. The Abbe condenser with 0.3 aperture and a working distance of 72 mm helps direct the light correctly in both bright field and fluorescence.
A trinocular eyepiece tube is fitted as standard. The stage includes a 110 mm specimen holder, allowing smooth and effective handling of samples. Extra brackets for petri dishes are supplied or available as accessories. Other accessories, such as eyepieces, objectives, specimen holders, and phase contrast units, can also be added.
The microscope is delivered with a free OBB-A1515 camera adapter. This C-mount 0.5x adapter with adjustable focus connects a microscope camera to the trinocular tube, making it easy to capture and document images. A dust cover and user instructions are also included.
