The weighing platform measures 1500 × 1500 mm and is built with a smooth, powder-coated steel surface. The top plate is screwed in place, making it easy to remove for cleaning, ensuring both hygiene and practicality. This design is especially valuable in industries such as food processing, manufacturing, or logistics, where cleanliness and maintenance access are key. The platform rests on four silicone-coated steel load cells with IP67 protection, providing excellent resistance against dust and water splashes while maintaining stable and accurate measurements.
The included LCD display unit offers clear readability with 48 mm high digits, allowing operators to view results quickly even in busy environments. A benchtop stand and wall mount are provided as standard, so the display can be positioned for maximum convenience. A 5 m connection cable gives flexibility for various setups.
As part of the KERN IoT Line, the BFC 3T-3LM is future-ready with Industry 4.0 connectivity. Using the KERN Universal Port (KUP), the balance can be connected to different systems via one integrated interface, or expanded with the optional KUP Extension Box to support up to three additional interfaces. This allows seamless integration into ERP systems, PCs, or networks via RS-232, Ethernet, USB, WiFi, or Bluetooth, depending on the configuration.
The scale also features a Real Time Clock as standard, ensuring all weighing results are recorded with accurate timestamps. This is particularly useful for quality management systems, compliance documentation, and traceability. Even in the event of a power interruption, the clock ensures time data remains correct.
With a readability of 1 kg, linearity of ±2 kg, and a minimum weight of 20 kg, the BFC 3T-3LM delivers precise and reproducible results. It is also suitable for counting applications, with a smallest piece weight of 10 kg under normal conditions.
