Het hart van het systeem wordt gevormd door de KERN CFS 3K-5 referentieweegschaal , die ook als stand-alone apparaat kan worden gebruikt. Deze professionele weegschaal is ontworpen om te voldoen aan de hoogste nauwkeurigheidsnormen en is eenvoudig te programmeren met het numerieke toetsenbord. Operators kunnen de gewenste referentiehoeveelheden, bekende referentiegewichten of streefwaarden voor gewicht of stuksaantallen invoeren. Het systeem geeft het totaalgewicht, referentiegewicht en het totale aantal stuks weer op drie afzonderlijke schermen voor maximale duidelijkheid.
