KERN OPO 185

The OPO 185 is a professional polarising microscope designed for the study of minerals, crystals, and isotropic materials. It combines LED incident illumination with LED transmitted illumination, giving flexibility for both opaque and transparent samples.

The microscope is equipped with a swing-out Abbe condenser (0.9/1.25) that can be centred, allowing precise Koehler illumination. A 360° rotating stage with 1° division, 6' fine division, and locking function is supplied as standard, making it possible to carry out detailed polarisation studies.

A wide range of accessories can be added, such as a mechanical stage, additional objectives with long working distance, and filter units. To support digital work, the OPO 185 is supplied with a free OBB-A1515 camera adapter. This C-mount 0.5x adapter with adjustable focus makes it easy to connect a microscope camera to the trinocular tube.

Delivery also includes a dust cover, eye cups, and multilingual user instructions.
